Thoroughly Exultant.

=]
Happiness.
So.
I get to learn how to play the piano as my minor instrument. As of right now, I know nothing about it. You press a key and it makes noise. That's pretty much it. We've never had a piano and my first brush with music was band in the fifth grade. So I've never learned.
I get some lessons at the end of the summer so I'm not ENTIRELY clueless when I start at school.
And.
Because we don't have a piano in this household, and I've nothing to practice on when I start lessons/every summer from here on out, I officially have a 61 key keyboard! =]=]=]
It's VERY exciting in my world.
I've been playing with it ALL DAY. Every time I walk in my room I'm compelled to flip it on and hit a few keys. And I do. I've figured out where all the major scales are and I can kind of plunk through them, but I don't know if I'm doing anything right or not so I'm trying to not get set in a particular way of playing things in case I'm wrong. Habits are hard to break.
And senior year, a fellow flute friend had the piano part for the Sorceror's Stone soundtrack and randomly copied me the first page of a handful of songs to play with on flute. So I found them.
I kind do a really really slow Hedwig's Theme and that's about it...I suck at reading bass clef (That-that's the G line, but it's base, so...it's...a B? I think so. Oh wrong octave. THERE! what's the next one....) and cords (D-G-D...ok...*meticulously positions small hand to cover an octave's worth of keys* Other hand...B flat-G-D...*more positioning* ok...*SOUND*! NOW the next one...). But it's awesome! So it's been stuck in my head ALL day. But I like it there.
So for the glorious release of Deathly Hallows, Sandy and Rachel T and I were going to make full Gryffindor uniforms. But it's expensive. REALLY REALLY REALLY expensive on my budget (then again, EVERYTHING kind of is...). $55 for a tie and sweater, not counting the $11 for a skirt, finding knee highs, a white button down blouse, $4-5 per yard for fabric, thread, a clasp of some kind and a Gryffindor patch. So...yeah we're not doing THAT any longer. Darn money. Instead, we're making shirts! Yay! =] Across the front in some really cool looking handwriting we're gonna figure out they're going to say Dumbledore's Army with a Dark Mark xd out in red. Our names will be on the back with a Dumbledore quote of some kind. My hair will still be red, and we're making new wands. And it's gonna be amazing. =]=]=]=]=] Oh I can't wait...not at all...I'm going to go insane.
Yesterday was pretty much amazing. Kristina left for Cali for six weeks this morning, so yesterday afternoon Sandy, Megan Kristina and I met at Starbuck's to chill for a while-it ended up being over three hours =] It was hysterical. Mostly because I had a raspberry mocha iced latte (which was amazing) and...me on espresso...oh goodness. I'm bad enough on *coffee.* There's a reason why I NEVER have it unless I'm going to die from exhaustion and can't get some sleep...I'm frightening. I scare myself. Espresso is slightly worse. Well, a lot worse. I spent half the time laughing at nothing, bouncing up and down on my seat, and talking really really fast with many large hand gestures in quick succession and making many faces. My eyes were wide open and I could hardly even blink. The room was gloriously bright. It was hilarious. Oh caffiene...
Then we went back to Kristina's later to keep her company while packing and we put on some old Olsen twin movies (Billboard Dad and Passport to Paris) and that was loads of fun. Then I came home, plunked around on my keyboard and crashed until noon.
*happy, content sigh*
I want the OOTP soundtrack. Right. Now.
What else...
Nothing, really. That is my life right now. Exciting, no? =]

Happiness?...

Here's giving optimism a shot. I was feeling ranty, but I really don't have much to rant about...more like complaining than ranting.
So.
Happy stuff.
24 days til HP!!! And I really, really need to start sewing. I found a grey pleated skirt for me, but it's in girls' sizes only, so Rachel T and Sandy have to figure out their skirts. Then there's knee highs to find. I located sweaters today, but they're $30 apiece. And the ties are $24, not to mention paying for fabric/thread/clasps/Gryffindor patches. Aye. If I'm not broke now, I WILL be very, very soon. But the costumes will be very worth it. I found my hair dye! Weasley red I will be soonish. There will be full uniform pictures of all three of us up after I'm done reading =] I'm so excited. I can't WAIT!!!!
The season finale for Doctor Who should be out this weekend. I'm excited 'cause it should be really, really amazing, as the rest of the season has been, but as Rachel V said "What will we do without Doctor Who?" 'Tis true. Doctor's coming to a close for a while, movie five will be out, then book seven, then...sadness. BUT I CAN'T WAIT IT ALL SHOULD BE SPECTACULAR!
Well, I'm actually going to start reading Twilight, a book series Sarah's been following. She's mentioned it a few times and it sounds interesting. We also share a lot of the same obsessions (HP, LOTR, Star Wars, Doctor Who, among others) so I figured it's worth a shot =]
Hum. What else.
All My Children is getting really interesting. JR staged his own kidnapping with a $100 million dollar ransom so he would get his dad's money and pretty much ruin him. Then his hired kidnappers made it into the real thing and ran off with the money. THEN we find out that it was Zach Slater who got the money instead, and everyone is looking for the "kidnappers." Excitement! Greenlee is still annoying, but she's not sueing for custody of Spike anymore so that's good. Fusion is back on track, Ava has a job/place to live, though I'm still not fond of her. Sean's summer is ruined because of the drugs she planted in his prom tux, but she's not gonna admit it was her nor do they have any proof. Erica is using Tad to annoy her soon to be divorced husband and that's getting to be hilarious. *happy sigh* I love my soap, and I'm REALLY glad they fired the old writer and got a new one. McTavish SUCKED-plus it's her fault that Dixie died, which I'm still really mad about.
I really need to clean out my keyboard. It's gross.
And I think that's all the new stuff that's been going on.
Such an exciting life I lead ;)
And now I'm off to do other stuff...

At last!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

I'm caught up! On Doctor Who!
Two days of marathoning (along with wanting to kick my computer as it's been being a bit of an idiot...loading things wrong, etc)
I just got done watching the current episode.
OH. MY. GOD.
!!!!!!!!!!!
I don't even...
Just...
CLIFFHANGERS! AAAAARRRRGH!!!
Why?! Why?! I just want to know!!!
Anticipation, pain as it may be, makes things exciting.
Half the fun is the wait and the speculation, as is true in HP.
BUT I WANNA KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Three parter?!? THREE?!? Insanity!!
Craziness!!
Amazing, spell binding, making me grab my computer and gasp and jump and speculate to the thin air...
It could drive a Rachel mad.
I SO caught it.
In the first part (Utopia).
I SO looked at the gray haired "professor" and
*SPOILER*********************************
Went
TIME LORD!!!!
I don't know why. It was the first time he was shown, just bumbling about, nothing profound, even.
I just *knew* it.
Gut feeling.
And I kept trying to convince myself that it was ridiculous. Then there was the watch.
And I jumped a mile, grabbed my computer and almost screamed.
Yup.
For the first time EVER, one of my predictions was RIGHT!!! It was amazing. =]
*END SPOILER*****************************
*******************It's safe now, I promise****
Oh my goodness.
I don't think I can wait a week, I'm going to explode right now.
I. LOVE. Doctor Who. On my list of obsessions, HP would reign all.
Doctor Who would be (and is) a little teensy millimeter below it.

"Barefoot on the moon! *chomp*"

Last night I started on the season three episodes of Doctor Who.
And...
I don't think I'll ever be able to sit through Smith and Jones (the first one) again. I was kinda beyond grossed out afterwards.
First off, they showed someone taking a patient's pulse from their wrist for a good minute or so. Which is completely normal to about everyone else except me (2nd biggest fear) so that lead to plenty of twitching.
THEN there was blood sucking...with a straw...with sound effects...and once it showed the sucker searching for a vein in someone's throat.
AAAAAHHHH.
That lead to plenty of squealing mingled with twitching about.
But I saw it once! I survived! It was good, really it was, despite wrists and the withdrawal of blood (blood tests are my 3rd biggest fear, not because of the needle but because of the blood). I am so easily grossed out. But really. Veins, blood and wrists. I can't handle any of them, and that's what the episode focused on more than I can handle a second time.
Shakespeare was really, really good.
And now...on to episode three...

Today...

Busy. Kind of. Not crazy not-a-moment-to-stop-and-breathe, but more active than yesterday. And the day before.
I'm going to start watching season three of Doctor Who soon, I was fifteen minutes into "Runaway Bride" when I paused it to check on things and when I got back and hit play, it wouldn't play so it's reloading. =P
Laundry is finally being done. I've got five or six loads, and I've combined a bunch of them (whites with lights, capris with darks, towels at random, swimsuits with sweaters...) plus my bedsheets that are still sitting.
And I finally baked a cake!!! I got everything mixed and put together (all but the flouring of the pan...I forgot...) and when I went to put it in the oven (now this happened on Father's Day), it was barely warmer than the room. AFTER preheating. It decided to die. And life was sad because all it did was make more dishes for me to do. Well, it's finally fixed and I baked another and it didn't break! YAY!!!
Oh and so far my being female hasn't left me bed ridden today and has only required two Motrin as opposed to the five I took yesterday...which could have easily been eight or more. I don't think my liver would have been fond of me =P
I figured out how to use speakerphone on my cell last night. Heheh. Sarah called and when I opened my phone I accidentally hit one of the side buttons and it went to speaker and I was upstairs in my room (all the bedrooms share a wall with mine) and it was late ish and people were sleeping and I was all "OH! CRAP!" *Sarah's talking* "IT'S ON SPEAKERPHONE!!! How did it get there?! I can't shut it off!!" And it took ten ish minutes and lots of calling back because she kept losing the signal in her "dungeon" as she calls it (haha =]) and I accidentally hung up once. Turns out you press the little button (which I was pressing) and hold it down for a second. Whoops. My blonde strands were functioning exceptionally well last night (she called because I misinterpreted a comment she left in a blog post I chose to delete because I thought it was too whiney and I was all "I'm going to say something for once instead of being quiet!" and...I was completely wrong. Go me. =P). Anyhoo. It was pretty funny. I asked everyone if they heard anything today and my mom said she heard voices (as in both of ours) and it made her jump. She thought maybe my brother's TV was on or something. Haha. And now I will never forget how to unspeakerphone my phone. Hooray!
What else...
I think that's all the interesting things that have occured in my life today. I think another load of laundry is finally complete, so I shall go fold it (hoorah) and hope the Doctor Who episode isn't a butt this time. Maybe I should practice, too...

"Rose Tyler..."

I just finished season two of Doctor Who.
Oh goodness.
I'm still crying.
I took Sarah's advice. And grabbed a nearby tissue and my teddy bear.
Oh. My. God.
...
I can't say much, I don't want to ruin it for certain people.
I'm. Just.
Wow.
That's all.
Just wow.

Having the best day ever!!!

So today!!
My mom and I were talking to a neighbor. Who apparently is really good friends with the owner of a Beggar's Pizza here in town.
My neighbor found out I'm still jobless.
So.
He called over there and talked to people, sent me in to fill out an app, and is going to talk to the owner tonight.
I should know if I'm employed within a day or two!!
And. I was sent to put gas in the car. When I was pulling out, there was a long line of not moving cars. This *really* hot guy stopped to let me out in front of him. I mean *really* hot. And he was smiling quite profusely.
AND.
I have a babysitting job tonight!
AND.
I've been catching up on Doctor Who.
AND.
I got sent in from yardwork early!!!
*happyhappyhappyhappy*

Crazy dream...

So I had this dream.
Wow.
I was back at school, fall term and all, and intro to theatre was still happening. For the first class, our assignment was to create some kind of unique story in groups.
So we went back to the dorms, which you had to walk through a gym to get to, and I run into Jamie Kontos and Sandy, who don't go to Wartburg, wondering if we could go out for something later. So I invited them to join Sarah, Rachel V., Abbey, Kate and I in creating our story.
There were also a couple of fifth graders there who played saxophone-not my brother, just random guys-who were following us, sort of. They were there and welcome, but they didn't participate in anything.
So the front of the school had this huge, pretty (and deep) pond. I was near it when they all showed up, and we were suddenly frightened because there was a looming threat of Voldemort. So we turned into various types of whales and went in the pool.
I was some kind of weird, evil thing with bunches of teeth. Jamie was near me. And Rachel V. was a beluga whale, though she really didn't look like a beluga. Everyone else was there somewhere, but I don't remember what they were. Somehow, Jamie gets the insane idea that the beluga is the threat (not Rachel V. specifically, just the beluga) and not Voldemort, so if we want to turn into humans again and not be in danger, we need to destroy the beluga. So we did. And it caught on fire in the water.
Then we all transform back, entirely unharmed, thinking that that little adventure would make a hilarous story.
In class the next day, Dr. Earl calls on me to tell my group's story (which we all thought was absolutely hysterical-particularly the beluga-eating/destroying part), but someone brought a CD player to class and kept playing random music/not paying attention. So the story of ours wasn't heard all the way.
For the next class, we had to make a story from the 1920s. We decided to bring our insturments for this one, and after school we all made certain to get on the same bus (for Wartburg had just transformed into my high school) and Sarah was mad at me because I forgot to dress like I was from the 20s.
And it switched to something entirely different and completely mundane.
Welcome to Rachel's World at night!...

Friday, June 15, 2007

Behold!

See? There's a carpet under there. And my butterfly chair is not entirely tan colored. And my bed does exist! With my teddy bear =]
So today I've felt abnormally crafty.
And my envelope couldn't handle said craftiness very well. So it has been reinforced...with a pound of scotch tape!
My sincere apoligies to those who must open it...it was that or have it split and be very, very sad.
We got new stamps. And they made me smile. Yes, stamps can do that.
I've also had very strange dreams as of late.
Like going to Paris for my 2nd year Mayterm and havng it look EXACTLY like NY. And English was spoken more often than not. I also dreamed about going to Paris a couple of weeks ago, and it looked exactly like Iowa and it was sad.
Last night I was going to Japan with wind ensemble and everyone else who went to NY. Dr. Earl included, along with Doc. There was seafood there. I don't like seafood. And the plane was like a ship. And it was snowing on us while we were inside.
Maybe I should travel to a foreign country. My dreams sure are telling me to...
That's all I've got for now.
Have a happy day =]

Lalala...

There are triple chocolate Klondike bars calling to me from the freezer upstairs. But it's technically morning and I've had enough junk food to sink a ship in recent times. Resisting...resisting...
Since the other night, I've seen one or two more Doctor Who episodes.
=]=]
And they all loaded correctly. It was happy.
I've been starting to put some energy into Harry Potter reading...I just started book four for the sixth time, and I want to be through the series seven times before I get book seven (yes. I am a dork. Woo!). Thirty six days left to get through four, five and six again, then to go through everything again. Aye. I've gotta get cracking!
Cicadas are freaking disgusting. Apparently, they can land on you. And get stuck on you. Ew. EW ewewewew ewwwwwwwww. I HATE bugs. They're a step below getting blood drawn on my fear list. Which is below wrists. Which is just below heights.
Update on the room front: CLEAN!!!!!!!!!
Pictures to come.
I can walk. If I want to do yoga, I only have to relocate my butterfly chair and not the ten pounds of other various junk that was located in and around it not so long ago. The floor has been vacuumed, and aside from shoving some junk that's for my dorm only into the crawlspace eventually, it's spotless!
Now I need to do laundry.
=P
So I got forced into getting one stinking more job app that needs filling out for the movie theater. My brain will explode upon the start of the filling-out. There's a chance of being hired, so it's okay...I kind of don't want to fill it out, but...oh well. I will live. And life will be good.
What else is new in the world of Rachel...
There's a sneak preview (ie before release day showing) of Ratatouille on Saturday. My mom got tickets. And I'm excited! It looks really, really cute =]
Now I'm off. To shower. Put something other than pajamas on. Read some HP, watch some AMC, and get started on something else *mischevious grin*
We hope you've enjoyed your visit in Rachel's World, where everything's happy! Thank you and come again soon!

Rejoice! Summer can officially start now!

For it is smoothie day at last!
Yahoo!!!
Went shopping with my mom today. Pulled the sad little person face. And got some stuff for the first smoothie of the summer!!!!
Smoothie ala Rachel:
Mango.
Apple (preferably a royal gala one...red with the yellowy stripes).
Pear.
Vanilla yogurt.
OJ.
Small banana sliver (more if you like banana. I don't. It's necessary for texture).
And, in place of ice, frozen berries! (normally I like strawberries, but I felt adventurous today and it's gonna be blueberries.)
All to taste, but normally I do around three big spoons of yogurt, a splash of OJ, the entire fruit (skinned), scarcely any banana and the equivalent of nine strawberries of the frozen stuff.
Yay!!
...is it after dinner yet?
'Cause I want one now.
Oh.
I marathoned three Doctor Who episodes last night.
One of them loaded wrong...I tried the second link for the School Reunion, and it started out with the Doctor and some chick named Martha (no Rose?!) running into the Tardis, and he was giving her this watch and saying something like "You need to guard this...it means my life..." (or at least something about her watching it CAREFULLY because it's life or death to him). Then he woke up, and a maid came in his bedroom with breakfast in bed and it was the Martha person. Then it stopped playing and said it was a dead link.
...
Okay then.
So I tried the other link, and a completey different episode-the right one-loaded.
Weirdness.
Well, it's off to other things...such as finishing cleaning my room...and such.
Yay smoothie day!
=]

Time for a chill pill...

Wow. I am bouncing off the walls at the moment.
I think that watching the Tonys and then having a huge chocolate caramel shake will do that to me.
That and the fact that I'm practically always overly energetic anyway....
It's a scary Rachel night.
Whoopeee!!!!!!!!! *bounces about momentarily*
Spring Awakening reigned all, as was kind of expected.
Which is happy! Yes, it is. =] Best music, featured actor, choreography, set design, musical...with a few others...
There were a couple where I kind of hoped that someone else would win.
(Coregraphy: my vote was Curtains, Mary Poppins in second)
But I did really really like Spring Awakening, so I was fairly pleased with it all =]
COMPANY GOT BEST REVIVAL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
YAHOOOOO!!!!
That one I was really really hoping for, but no one thought it would win because the director got best revival for something else not so long ago.
I WAS ECSTATIC!
What else...
oh!
There was a commercial. For Phantom.
And guess what?
It is SO coming to Chicago!!!! Halloween through Janurary fifth of 08!!!!!
Tickets are on sale!
*screams really, really loudly*
I am SO seeing it again.
With better seats. Much better seats. (In NY, Sarah and I were orchestra level which is really good, but we were under the balcony so we couldn't see the top half of the stage and it was sad.)
And Sandy and Rachel T! And anyone else who cares to join! Because it is that amazing!
We're planning on before Christmas when we're all on our breaks and I'm not in IA, as everyone else is in IL all year round.
I CAN'T WAIT!!!
*continues with previous overly energetic bouncing about*
And now...
I'm off to get started on season two of Doctor Who.
YAY!!!
I'm not sleeping for a LONG time now...

Saturday, June 09, 2007

"Remote control...but who's controlling it?"

I did it.
I spent almost all of today watching Doctor Who.
Because, as I am jobless until my phone rings sometime (which it better...*shakes fist*), I really don't have anywhere to be.
Not for a while, at least.
Just another boring day...my mom had her tooth pulled, so she's been in bed and everyone is required to be at home to help out. But there isn't much helping to do, I'm just supposed to be here and make the occasional milk shake, let the dog out every so often.
Pretty dull.
Not today.
Doctor Who.
=]=]=]
SIX episodes (I need a life...seriously...this is nice, but a tad ridiculous).
The Doctor Dances (which, BTW, isn't scary at all in broad daylight...and is amazing..."Just this once, Rose!") all the way through The Christmas Invasion.
Best one:
Parting of the Ways.
I was jumping up and down. Flapping my arms like windmills. Talking to my computer. And scaring the crap out of my dear kitty. Along with almost screaming (actual screaming would have woken my not feeling so good mom up).
IT WAS AMAZING!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
OH MY GOODNESS!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
My newfound Doctor Who obsession is most definitely going to take over when Harry Potter finishes out.
HP will always, always top my list of favorites...but the Doctor will be what I move to so I can fill the empty void of new Harry Potterness.
And now.
I will start
*drumroll*
SEASON TWO!!!
Which is almost. *Almost.* Season three.
Which, judging by the blogs of both Rachel V. and Sarah, is absolutey freaking amazing in comparison with the rest.
I can't wait!!!
I give it a week, tops, as it took me five days to move through season one.
*dances in a circle*
I. Am a dork.
And I like it. =]

*bites nails...*

No more Empty Child or The Doctor Dances episodes right before bed when it's dark and my whole house is asleep and I'm abnormally creeped out because my house at night tends to do that to me.
Oh goodness.
If a kid with a British accent asks me if I'm his mummy, I'm going to scream and run.
I finished the Empty Child episode and lasted for all of ten minutes in The Doctor Dances...the part where the tape ran out and made that noise...
Couldn't do it.
I'm a chicken.
It wouldn't have been so bad if the place wasn't dark, if the thing didn't creep up on you, if it said other things...and the gask mask was rather creepy looking on top of it all.
Tomorrow morning. Well, this morning. I'll retry.
But.
NOT. At. Night.
Now this chicken is going to think happy thoughts and curl up under one fluffy comforter and be consumed by four pillows (two stay home, two were at school until recently) and NOT dream about British boys asking for their mummies.
Update on the cleaning front:
My carpet is tan colored. And my butterfly chair is most definitely purple. It's getting there, slowly but surely.

Friday, June 08, 2007

It's time to face the inevitable...

And clean my still not unpacked, overly messy room.
I'll be back sometime next week.
=P

Perfect Day!

Today was pretty much the best day ever.
=]=]
I went swimming at Sandy's...perfect weather.
90.

(!)
Got the last of my checking account junk in the mail (yay!!).
Annnd.
Mentioned my newfound obsession with the Doctor to Sandy...
Made *her* curious.
So we watched the Rose episode.
Then she wanted to see another.
And.
Another.
(That's a three episode marathon, folks...)
I've got a new recruit!!!!!
She hearts it.
=]=]=]=]
Just like I do.
Now...
Rachel T! =] We are summoning YOU. I have no idea when you'll read this. But be prepared.
And anyone else who wishes.
(*cough* KristinaMegan *cough cough*)
*evil cackling*
It would be awesome if everyone out here ended up enjoying it...we could have some massive new episode celebrations...
Yay!
And life is fantabulous.

*dies*

(It's a Doctor Who thing ;)
And...
A warm aloha to Rachel V.!
Welcome to [this] Rachel's World...where everything's happy!
And welcome to the insanity. =]
*[pounce]HUG*
(first I typed "hig"...then it was "houg"...wow. =P )

Oy.

So I wasn't very bored today...even though I technically did less than I did yesterday.
I did the inevitable.
And started watching Doctor Who.
I've seen a little before, in NY on Matt's computer.
But only random parts, I honestly don't think I saw every last second of any of the episodes we watched.
Yeah.
Started today while baking some cookies.
With the Rose episode.
Made it through the Third World War episode.
The end of the first two-parter with the aliens crashing into Big Ben.
That's five episodes, forty five minutes each.
Sci-fi...normally I don't care for anything sci-fi...fantasy, yeah, but normally not sci-fi.
My mom just kind of shook her head at me in a bemused way while I avidly stared into my computer screen while the cookies were baking and the world was being consumed by the sun (second episode).
I...smell the beginnings of what I'm sure will turn into a deep addiction.
I haven't even gotten to the episodes with David Tennant yet.
I'm pretty excited for that... =]
(if you don't know him, Google image search him or something. Trust me, as long as you're female the view will be lovely. Oh. He's Barty Crouch in GOF (as Sarah pointed out to me...).)
I want to watch another.
I just marathoned *three* and I want to watch MORE...wow...
I don't think I managed three episodes of House in a row from that website.
I mean one after the other, maybe two seconds between each.
The other two I saw earlier in the day.
And I've got the theme song stuck in my head =]
*sigh*
Sarah.
(And Rachel V, but I don't think she reads this...)
I blame this on you. For sparking my curiosity.
But it's a good blame that will be the cause of one massive hug attack come September.
This is, indeed, the start of yet another addiction...
That will more than likely end up in the ranks of LOTR and Harry Potter and all other things I am addicted to.
I need to sleep.
But I just want to watch one more...

Rain, rain, go away...

It's raining.
A lot.
With thunder.
And a hint of lightning.
So I'm chilling in my room. My messy, messy, in dire need of being unpacked and cleaned room.
=P
I don't wanna...
So I've been bumming around on Youtube.
Found three or four videos from the revival of Company I saw in NY, including Being Alive and Ladies Who Lunch and the intro. *happy sigh* I want to go back and see more shows...
And I stumbled across a Mary Poppins blooper.
Haha! =]
My cat is glaring at me. Why, I don't know.
I'm completely and entirely caught up on All My Children now (after a four show marathon last night). Exciting week! Things are going to get interesting...And I caught up on Desparate Housewives, too.
I knitted my Gryffindor scarf a little more last night...I've only been working on it since Janurary. And I think I cut my thumb with my scissors. I don't know how, but it is. (It's not like I was playing with them, I didn't even notice until I had put them down for all of ten minutes.)
The waterpark still has yet to call me back. So I left them a message this morning.
I'm tired of waiting. Either way, I just want to know so I could either celebrate or fill out more applications.
Harry Potter is coming!!!! =]=]=]
I'm sewing Gryffindor robes for when Sandy, Rachel and I go to the midnight party. My mom finally got a sewing machine and she's gonna show me how. I just need to figure out what things to measure and get my hands on some fabric and thread. =] And a Gryffindor patch of some kind. And a clasp thing for the front. Then we need to find white button down shirts, grey skirts (or pants in Ron/Rachel's case) and ties and (possibly) sweater vests (if we can find them). And I need to get my red hair dye =]=] I CAN'T WAIT!!!!!!
I believe that's all in Rachel's world for the time being.
And the storm is kind of going away...yay!

Tennis...

Last night=amazingness.
Kristina and Megan and I played tennis.
Oh goodness.
I SUCK at tennis. Worse than badminton. I can't count the number of times I'd swing really really hard but miss and end up spinning in a complete circle. Or hit too high. Or too low. Or send it into the next court. Or make it go flying waaay up in the air and land two feet in front of me. Or miss clearing the net by a lot. I think one time I missed and started spinning but lost balance and fell over. It was rather funny =] Megan was about the same playing level as me, but no spinning or falling over.
Then we went back to Megan's and had some cake she baked for a class of hers. Andrei joined. And it was a good time. We started a puzzle, too. Evil, evil cackling jigsaw pieces (lol). We must have been working on it for somewhere around two or three hours, if not a little more, and we've hardly gotten anything done. It's kind of turning into a summer project.
So the water park officially opens today, and they still haven't called me back.
*sigh*
I'm trying to call them tomorrow, as I know they'll be open.
If it's a no go, I'm reapplying to Berkot's.
Even if the water park doesn't work out, I've got a really good feeling about having a job this summer. Wherever it may be. Unlike last summer, where I somehow just knew I wouldn't be working so much. Kind of an inexplicable gut feeling. I hope I'm right...
What else.
Unpacking:
Still going.
Slowly, and not so surely, but kind of sporatically happening.
Time to return to it.
...joy...

All My Children

So apparently I missed a LOT over the month of May.
I'm finally almost completely caught up.
Adam is out to get JR. Something with the his shares of Chandler Enterprises. Apparently, Adam struck a deal with Zach, but I'm not completely sure of what the deal was.
Greenlee has returned and is a bitch. I can't really stand her at the moment, but it does make things interesting as there's been a cat fight with almost all of her old friends...especially with Annie, as she's married to Ryan (Greenlee's guy) and Greenlee wants him back (even if she won't just come out and say it).
Greenlee also took back her shares of Fusion, so Babe is worth nothing there-she had intern status, but then she quit as Greenlee was exceedingly nasty towards her. Babe and JR are striking a deal with some Chandler Enterprise shares-one of them is selling theirs back (JR?) and Babe is using the wad of cash to invest in some other Adam-free company. I'm hoping she buys into Fusion again and gets more shares than Greenlee, but I kind of doubt it.
Erica and Jackson are getting a divorce, but they are taking their sweet time and making it very, very public. I'm kind of getting annoyed. Pick a direction and run with it, I can't stand the on again off again junk. I would like to see wedding number eleven (Jackson is Erica's 10th husband).
Krystal is completely separated from Adam (jerk...) and just pawned all the jewelry he's given her over the...year. She wants the cash to put towards a "dream" of hers, but she won't say what that dream is. My mom thinks she's buying the bar that Babe worked at before Fusion.
Jenny is back from the clutches of Adam and crazy Janet from another planet (yes, that's what she's called. She's insane. She put her husband-whose nickname was porkchop-in the freezer for a time out and in all seriousness thought that she could just thaw him out when she wanted to. And she blew up a Mardi Gras party last year to get revenge for her daughter. And kidnapped a bunch of people, stuck them in the back of a truck, gave them laughing gas and put them in quicksand-they knew exactly who was missing because she left their shoes wherever it is she kidnapped them. Dressed up as Santa once and took little A and stuck him in a nativity scene. Tried to drown Di. Stuck Kenall in a hammock-while pregnant-hanging off the ten story tall roof of Fusion and directly over the street. Among many other things). So it's a good thing she doesn't have Jenny anymore.
I think Tad and Krystal should be together.
Ava (Lily's half sister) dressed up as Lily during Ryan and Annie's wedding so she could see what it's like to be accepted. Apparently, she kissed Jonathan (Lily's ex) and he found out and was ticked. Most everyone strongly dislikes her, but for no apparent reason.
Hannah left town, but it's possible that Zach (Kendall's husband) had some...fun...with her to make her pregnant, as all she wanted was a child but Ethan (her and Zach's son) passed away and she had nothing.
And I think that's about everything.
I really wish there was another AMC fanatic at Wartburg...I think Megan's the only fan friend I've got...Chelsea was getting to the addicted point, but she's back in CO now. Methinks I should convert someone... *mischevious grin*
