It's been a while...

So I'm still happily moved in! Life is very very good at the moment.
I am, indeed, 21 today. Which is awesomely happy. And I just made my first alcoholic purchase at Walmart not too long ago, which was really weird but really liberating at the same time. wOOt!!
I also have a small cold. Well, not really all that small. I kind of can't breathe through my nose at all. So I got some nose spray (as recommended by the doctor at the on-campus clinic) and now I can sort of breathe, but I still have to run for a kleenex every few minutes or so. =P Ah well. It could be a LOT worse...stuffy noses are livable-with. Sort of. =]
My recital is completely set for November 12 (a Wednesday) at 630, and I have a partner (Jessica McClellen, a voice major) so that's UBER exciting. YAY!! I also have all of my music so once I can breathe freely again I'll be practicing a LOT (there's a French piece that my applied prof said was going to be a killer, so I've got to stay on top of that one).
Not a whole lot else is going on, aside from classes and homework and such. Speaking of homework, I've got a bit of a lull this weekend, which I'm going to use to work ahead...so I won't be bogged down very easily once things pick up again.
And that's about all that's gone on in the world of the Rachel! =] Exciting day...

Moved in!

I'm here!
I've been here for several days, actually, but I'm here =]
Mine and Sarah's room = amazingness. It's rather small, but that's ok-I really like the set up (and my roomie!) so life is uber happy! Posters were finally put up tonight, including a rather *beautiful* one of Captain Jack from Doctor Who *right* over my desk. =]=]=]=] Oh happy... =]
And the rest of the apartment is awesome, too! =D There's a kitchen and a living room and NO MORE community bathrooms! wOOt!!! I like it a lot. I don't really feel like I'm in a dorm...which is nice and happy.
Band audition results go up tomorrow.

Oh my goodness. I'm NOT going to last. At all. AAAAHHHHHH!!!!! I don't think there is going to be a lot of sleeping tonight...
And I started my new job! I loves it! ...well, so far at least. I haven't done much other than number some measures and put something in score order. But I DO have a key to the music library, and no longer have to deal with the deli or dishline or salad bar any longer. EEE! It was a happy feeling when I went to eat in the Mensa tonight and I realized I would hardly be in there this year thanks to a small meal plan. =]
Band audition results are coming! AAAHH. Argh.
Um....yeah. I'm pretty jittery and unfocused right now. So I'm going to go distract myself until bedtime.
Which is actually going to be soon, since two of my suiteys and I are headed to the FAC at 7 to see the result list.
Because we're just a little freaked out like that...
