Work in Progress

You oughta hear the mirror in my house You oughta fear her pretty, pretty mouth Says I’m imperfect in every way: “Miss Almost, Miss Maybe, Miss Halfway”/...But I’m gonna burn, I’m gonna shine and multiply I’m gonna fill up the great divide You’ll never break me with all the things you say “Miss Almost, Miss Maybe, Miss Halfway”

Life!

It's been a while since I've done a true update.
Well...
Things are off to a really good start.
My classes are going well. The true workload hasn't set in yet, but I know I'll be able to handle it when it does...theory (so far) is about the same as last term, and while there's a lot to remember for music history I've got a really good prof so it's just a matter of me setting up a regular study schedule and sticking to it no matter what (test or none...I don't have any open spaces in my schedule for cramming or sudden hard-core several hours a day studying). Methods k-8 is a lot of fun during class time, and (so far) the projects don't seem *too* daunting...except the one where we teach the class a song...I do not like singing in front of groups. Particularly ones who can tell I can't really sing. (I know, I know...music ed major, duh, there's going to be singing...but that doesn't mean I have to like that part of it) I'll be fine. Just very much nervous.
What else...
Last weekend was pretty much awesome. Off campus and amazing. Along with the WORST MOVIE EVER!!! (In the Name of the King...don't see it. Just say no) but it was a lot of fun making fun of the bad parts (which was the ENTIRE MOVIE!).
This weekend is road trip to Rachel V's house! HUZZAH! I've never been completely off campus overnight...aside from breaks...since I live so far away going home on weekends is rather pointless...so I'm really looking forward to it.
Work is work. But I'm only on dishline once a week so that's not too shabby.
I've also started running again and it's making me very very happy. I'm already back up to 3 miles! =D And no matter what the work load I am making time to run three times a week. It makes me happy. But no more than three times a week...I'm going to be stressed out and I'm not willing to make an accidental repeat of senior year. Besides, I just bought a bunch of very well fitting pants and they make me very happy. =]
And tomorrow I start field experience at the grade school! And I get to wear my pants and shoes of awesomeness! I'm excited for the field experiencing, too...it should be a good time. Fifth and sixth grade musicians are always a lot of fun (seriously...half of them are smaller than their instruments, unless they play the flute or something of that size, and they're just cute). The cuteness might wear off after teaching them three times a week, but hey, it'll be a happy time.
Annnd now I need to do some homework...the stuff that's due this week and stuff that's do early next week since I'm gonna be gone for most of the weekend. Good times!
...and I am very very happy that none of it is organic or equation-related. No x's to solve for this year! =]=]=]
