Work in Progress

You oughta hear the mirror in my house You oughta fear her pretty, pretty mouth Says I’m imperfect in every way: “Miss Almost, Miss Maybe, Miss Halfway”/...But I’m gonna burn, I’m gonna shine and multiply I’m gonna fill up the great divide You’ll never break me with all the things you say “Miss Almost, Miss Maybe, Miss Halfway”

Chicago rocks my socks

I am so tired and so in pain right now...oh goodness...I have not walked that much in a LONG time. Twenty dollar Target shoes aren't the best for that kind of walking, either...I think I have calluses on my pinky toes :P Not to mention how freezing it was. I think this is one of those nights where I'll be buried under several layers of blankets and still chilled until my shower tomorrow. I don't even have the energy to wash up or care about it. So here I sit. Resting my dead legs, buried under two blankets and eating ice cream.
It was pretty much amazing today.
There was me, Chelsea, Melissa, Megan, Sandy, Kristina and her boyfriend Andrei.
We went to the American Girl Doll Place, the Cheesecake Factory, the Art Institute and Millenium Park.
There was a LONG LONG LONG walk to the Americal Girl Doll Place. Once we got inside it, it was rather uneventful. Then was the Cheesecake Factory, where Kristina and Andrei met up with us...oh a good forty minutes late...they blame traffic. Sandy and I just wonder ;) The food was amazing...as was the cheesecake...Godiva! *dies* [long standing inside joke]
Then the Art Institute. And the miniature room =] really really adorable. Then Millenium Park. Which was fun.
Then we were goofing off and lost track of time and had to run over SEVERAL blocks to reach the train..and I mean RUN...and we got there literally three minutes before it left. If we hadn't made it, we would have had to wait until 1130 for the next train [it was 845]. Thankfully we made it. And I must add, it's rather an odd feeling to be sweating to death and unable to breathe yet freezing and unable to feel your hands at the same time.
It was an amazing awesome wonderful day. =]
Plans for the summer:
-See as many CSO performances as is humanly/monetarily possible
-Go to more free Mix concerts at Millenium Park
-Be familiar enough with Chicago so I could actually find my way around. I'm still at the mercy of those around me.
-See Wicked again!!!!!!!!!

hahaha...that is interesting...either we were that cold, or that's what happens when you have ten minutes to run about four or five blocks in twentyish degree weather.
I don't think I'm hypothermic, though, I'm actually quite toasty :)
miss you too!!
