Work in Progress

You oughta hear the mirror in my house You oughta fear her pretty, pretty mouth Says I’m imperfect in every way: “Miss Almost, Miss Maybe, Miss Halfway”/...But I’m gonna burn, I’m gonna shine and multiply I’m gonna fill up the great divide You’ll never break me with all the things you say “Miss Almost, Miss Maybe, Miss Halfway”

I think this calls for a nap...

I'm completely drained today, and I don't know why...I got a normal amount of sleep last night and all.
=P
Last night...sleepover! We were the trio again. It had been way too long. And it was awesome.
We went to Oberweis for some ice cream. I had a hot fudge sundea with cookie dough... =]=]=] (Word to the wise: don't do the two scoop. It's freaking huge.)
Then we hung around and goofed off for an extended period of time.
I shared my thrilling tales of New York =]
Then we watched Forest Gump.
Which I hadn't seen before.
And it was amazing! =]
Today I saw Pirates again with my mom and brother.
We stayed for the stinger after the credits. And it was really, really cute.
I've still got the music stuck in my head. But it's very happy there! =]
After getting back and chilling for a while, I decided to run to the bank and get some info on checking accounts, as I want to open one soon. I could have sworn they were open until five. Nope. 430...I got there at 432. Ack.
My room is the biggest wreck it has EVER been...I can't unpack entirely because I don't have a place for everything. I don't have a place for it all because I need to go through my room and get rid of some junk. I can't go through my room because I need to unpack because I can't move for the boxes and bags.
Aaah!!!
Hopefully it will be sorted out by July...
So I've been goofing off and trying some of my skirts and such that I haven't worn in ages and ages to see how they fit. A lot of them look a lot better on me, which is exciting. I need an excuse to wear them now. One of my swimsuits is perfectly fine on me, but my back up old one that I wear mainly to the water park because I know that one won't travel anywhere when on slides now looks awful (I've only had it for six years...) so I'm thinking of getting one of the one pieces with part of it cut out so from certain angles it looks like a two piece...another bikini would just travel, and I don't like plain one pieces.
I finally played through my Phantom music book I got in NY the other night...!!!! It was amazing =]
One of my neighbors commented on my playing, too. He said something along the lines of how wonderful it is to hear that "blessed flute" again.
I hadn't practiced with the windows open in a LONG time. So that made me happy.
I miss Wartburg people a little already, but it's nice to be at home and around friends that I've hardly seen for goodness knows how long.
I think it's time for me to start unpacking...or at least trying to.
Maybe I'll clean out and unpack at the same time, somehow...
One last thing:
I was listening to my Spring Awakening soundtrack the other day, and there's this song at the end that's not part of the musical. I finally noticed the lyrics, and it definintely made me think of a friend or two. So I will leave you with them...it really has NOTHING to do with the musical.
"There Once Was A Pirate"

There once was a pirate
Who put out to sea
His mates all around him
No maiden on his knee
Oh sail for a little
A little little litte
Oh sail for a little
Til she finds him

There once was a maiden
Who wandered the mead
To gather blue violets
Her mama would need
A wail through the willows
All hollow through the willows
She’ll wail through the willows
‘Til she finds him

The sea was so violent
The crew went below
They begged him to join them
But he would not go
Oh sail a little little
For just a little little
Oh sail for a little
‘Til she finds him

Her heart was so laden
She fell by a tree
Sang of some pirate
Who haunted the sea
A wail through the willows
All hollow through the willows
She’ll wail through the willows
‘Til she finds him

A wail through the willows
(sail for a little)
All hollow through the willows
(the willow willows)
She’ll wail through the willows
(sail for a little)
‘Til she finds him

He’ll sail for a little
A little little litte
He’ll sail for a little
‘Til she finds him
He’ll sail for a little ‘til she finds him
